Listen Gallery warmly invites you to the exhibition [silent] tone moving in sequence [sjtil] by artist Kaya Erdinç and sound artist Ellie Ford. Combining experimental sound and silent film and text, the exhibition dismantles the hierarchy between sound, moving image and subtitle by suggesting alternative sequences. What happens when nothing comes first, and the sequence becomes a reflection of one another, appearing in cyclical response? Accompanied by a mini drama, the exhibition plays with the scale of things and the existing frequencies of space. The exhibition will be presented in Listen Gallery’s two rooms, inviting the audience to navigate their attention through a dialogue between noise and silence, memory of a sound and memory of a place.
